The Legal Aid Forum

We are a membership-based network of 38 national and international NGOs, professional bodies, universities, legal aid clinics, faith-based organizations and trade unions that provide or support legal aid services to the indigent Rwandan population or vulnerable groups.

Supporting and empowering vulnerable individuals to use the law to advance their rights and interests. We work directly with communities to build legal awareness and capacity.

Knowledge Management

Enduring the delivery of quality legal aid services for Rwandans, LAF has become a knowledge hub on access to justice, research, and best practices in legal empowerment.

Promotion & Protection of Human Rights

Actively engaging with the government on protection of human rights, advocating for policy reforms, and ensuring that vulnerable populations have their voices heard.

Ensuring the Legal Aid Forum is an effective and sustainable membership-based network, strengthening organizational capacity and governance structures.
